Restaurants and Bars

Every city has it''s clubbing hobnob and Kuala Lumpur is no different. Though its dwellers are fortunate to have a variety of locations from Desa Sri Hartamas, Bangsar and Asian Heritage Row; Jalan P. Ramlee holds higher esteem in the sense that it''s right next to the KLCC Twin Towers. Both sides of the main road are lined with inviting restaurants and exciting clubs, both old and new.

SSo many clubs and so many bars to choose from in KL. Instead of a new outlet, check out the already-established Thai Club & Bistro - famed for being crowded at any given night of the week.

Thai Club & Bar sits among these, generating attention from by passers for its open-air concept where you can look right in to the world of people partying and dancing... whilst resisting the temptation to join in. Renowned for throwing wild parties in the past, the 800-capacity club has worked closely with Sepang International Circuit, various car manufacturers, fashion labels, small and large corporate companies, alcohol and sports labels; putting more credibility under its wing.

The atmosphere of the club is not inviting purely by chance, as it is a project conceptualized by a group of enterprising businessmen. Opposed to the neighbouring clubs, Thai Club & Bistro have an Asian design concept, which seems to work well seeing it attracts both locals and foreigners alike. The roof of the club is unmistakable Thai architecture with red Chinese lanterns hanging from the ceiling and bar.

The dim red lights combined with the shine of strings of orange bulbs cast a flattering glow on the patrons mingling below. Wood plays an important role in adding warmth to the club as most of the construction of the club seems to rely on it - the barriers, DJ console, bar top, furniture, stairs and banisters. In contrast with the softness of that, the ground has been kept cold, with uneven stone.

With a two-in-one concept area in mind, Thai Club & Bistro combine al-fresco dining outside with enjoyable partying inside. The selection of food can be described as a combination of Thai, Local, Western and Chinese at affordable prices, giving everyone the choice of ordering something they''re familiar with already or to test their taste buds and try something new. Their dessert menu is not spared of diversity as well, including local, Thai and continental delights.

And The Party Won''tStop...

After eating, get ready to party as the club spins a very general selection making it easily enjoyed by everyone of all ages. From retro, top 40''s, Thai, Chinese and the latest hits, the resident DJs make sure that the crowd gets what they want in order to enjoy their night even more. Probably what draws most of the crowd here are the prices. Majority of the regulars here are the working crowd and their money from a hard day''s work is not to be spent with too much ease. Happy Hour promotions are considered one of the best in the heart of KL city with a jug of beer selling at RM27, two jugs at RM50 and a bucket at RM45.($1=RM3.70)

Is it no wonder that the spacious establishment is always crowded? As the club motto goes,Drink Till You Drop, And The Party Won''t Stop.
